What it means

Three of the four players who are out play on defense: Winfield at safety, Morrison at cornerback and Dennis at inside linebacker. ESPN's player notes (October 7) say Ifeatu Melifonwu is in line to start at safety next to Tykee Smith, and name Christian Rozeboom as the inside linebacker depth behind Alex Anzalone and Josiah Trotter. The same notes name Zyon McCollum, Jacob Parrish and Keionte Scott as the cornerbacks absorbing Morrison's snaps. The full picture is on the depth chart. Player pages: Melifonwu, Tykee Smith, Rozeboom, McCollum, Parrish.

Mayfield is out again with the thumb injury he suffered against the Vikings, and Jalon Daniels started Week 4 in his place (ESPN, October 4). BucsWorld covered the injury in Baker Mayfield dislocates his throwing thumb against the Vikings.

The players who were on the report earlier in the week all finished without a designation. Rueben Bain Jr. went full on all three days (see Rueben Bain Jr. is cleared to play at Dallas after a full week of practice). Kicker Chase McLaughlin went from a Tuesday DNP to full on Wednesday (details here). Winfield's rib injury is covered in Antoine Winfield Jr. is out for Dallas with a rib fracture.

Dallas is without a starting cornerback, an inside linebacker and a tackle. ESPN's note (October 7) names DaRond Bland and Joey Porter Jr. as the starting outside cornerbacks with Durant out.

The inactives list comes out 90 minutes before kickoff, 6:45 PM ET, 00:45 CEST on Friday, and that is when the final word on Mingo and Smith arrives. BucsWorld updates the game page with the final word.
