What it means for the pass rush
Two of the five outside linebackers on the depth chart missed Wednesday. On the Week 2 depth chart, Al-Quadin Muhammad is listed behind Bain, and Anthony Nelson is the backup behind Yaya Diaby on the other side, with David Walker third. With Nelson also out on Wednesday, Pewter Report expects Muhammad and Walker to rotate with Diaby if Bain cannot go. The full depth chart has both units.
Trotter, the other rookie starter on defense, hurt his shoulder against Cleveland, missed a few snaps and came back to finish the game. On Wednesday he worked out separately with a harness over his left shoulder (Pewter Report). SirVocea Dennis is listed behind him at inside linebacker. Trotter already has an interception this season: his pick six at Cincinnati.
Elsewhere the news was better. Baker Mayfield was listed with an illness but practiced fully, as did wide receiver Jalen McMillan and cornerback Jacob Parrish.
