Illness in the locker room

Goedeke and the offensive line
Goedeke did not practice with a calf injury. Pewter Report names Justin Skule as the replacement if Goedeke cannot play. Egbuka's concussion and foot injury is covered in our Egbuka report.
Good news at quarterback and safety
Baker Mayfield was a full participant for the first time since dislocating his right thumb in Week 3, and Todd Bowles hopes to choose between Mayfield and Jalon Daniels on Friday (Mayfield update). Antoine Winfield Jr. was limited with a rib injury after missing Weeks 5 and 6 (Pewter Report); see his earlier injury story.

What comes next
The Buccaneers, 1-5, play at the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, October 25, at 1:00 PM ET, 18:00 CET (Europe moves to winter time that night). The how to watch guide has the details, and the depth chart shows who is available.
Wednesday's report is a first read, not a verdict. Three of the four players with the biggest questions, Goedeke, Egbuka and Mayfield, will get their answers on Thursday and Friday, and a bug that sidelined two starters for a day only matters if it lasts.
